Clubs & Organizations

Community organizations are an important part of Dinuba. There are currently about 35 different clubs and organizations in Dinuba. Some Dinuba organizations have a proud history dating back more than a century. Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis Clubs have been active in Dinuba for many years, each making major contributions to the community. Organized in 1890, the Dinuba Woman's Club is one of the older clubs of its type in California. The ladies in this group have raised thousands of dollars to make Dinuba's good quality of life even better. Booster Clubs which support various activities in the schools and the city recreation department play an important community role as well.

Education

School:
A universally accepted measure of the quality of life in any community is the quality of its schools. Six elementary schools, one middle schools, and two high school are under the supervision of the Dinuba Unified School District. There are also two private schools. Two nearby community colleges offer higher education courses in a diversity of professional fields and Fresno State University is only 45 minutes away. The State of California Department of Education has awarded the title of California Distinguished School to Dinuba High School, Lincoln Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary. The Tulare County Office of Education has awarded its Teacher of the Year Award for excellence in education to a recipient in a Dinuba school each of the past five years. The District also received Administrator of the Year for 1998.
